I was told I had some meager skill
(Well, once upon a time,)
Perhaps I'll yet dredge some up still
To fashion verse and rhyme
I fear my tongue's been too long stilled
To write a piece of worth
At least, for now, there's something here
In inspiration's dearth
I've visions clear - of circus tents,
Of acrobats in flight
While human children hold their breath
And cheer in sheer delight
I wonder how the kumens live
My mind, it reels in awe -
A race so driven by the id
Resrtained by stringent Law
The sun, shining from clear blue skies
Her steel glints in the light
Her movements, quicker than one's eyes
Slay beasts that bump the night
How can one help but be intrigued
By the talespinning you've done?
And further more, I do believe
The best is yet to come
An awesome poem by Boojum :D I gotta say, I'm shocked how people can do poems, I couldn't write a poem if my life depended on it.
